This five-ring bamboo basket is an attractive and practical way to store your root vegetables — and bound to stay in your family for generations! Built to last, each 5-ring basket is beautifully constructed: the thick bamboo walls mitigate dramatic shifts in temperature and the slatted floors allow for ample airflow. Keep it on the counter for frequently used veggies, or stack up to three additional baskets (available separately) to make a truly unique storage tower. A custom rolling base (also available separately) makes it mobile.

Our designer’s inspiration for this piece was a traditional steamer basket he’d inherited from his grandparents. “It was an object that I remember from childhood visits to their home in Maine, and it eventually made its way into my home kitchen when they moved. I found myself storing small onions and garlic in it and it dawned on me that if the dimensions were enlarged this construction could be quite good for storing all sorts of vegetables,” he told us.  How right he was – we’re thrilled with the result!
